The coasts encircling the Park of Cilento
A cruise in the area of Cilento is
a journey in the past, which can be observed even in
the architectures of the coastal villages, where the
witness of the different civilizations is still alive:
Greeks, Romans and Turks. The town of Agropoli,
protected on its promontory, marks the opening border
of Cilento, with all the breathtaking panoramas of the
homonymous Park, together with the archaeological sites
of Paestum and Velia. We have also to mention Acciaroli
and Palinuro, which are plunged in
nature and, since a long time, they have been acknowledged
and considered among the best seas of Italy. Moreover,
Marina di Camerota, Sapri and Maratea with
their jagged coastlines, which are rich in inlets and
safe bays. These are, at the same time, endowed with
safe moorings and are able to offer pleasant nights
of real life. |
